Allurement Into the Gospel

The gospel is deep and rich enough for an eternity of worship. Peter wants to allure us into the wonder of our salvation in order to prepare us for his first command in v. 13, "...set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." Peter gives us three allurements into the gospel:
- The prophets were craving the gospel.
- The Spirit is preaching the gospel.
- The angels are savoring the gospel.
